Synagogues in Tehran

While historical records suggest a higher number of religious sites, current reports focus on active versus total buildings:

• Total Synagogues: There are approximately 31 synagogues in Tehran.
• Active Synagogues: Reports on active sites range from 11 to 20, with many sources consistently citing around 13 active synagogues.
• Notable Sites: Prominent active locations include the 
  Yusef Abad Synagogue

Jewish Population of Iran
